Metaphor time!
I feel that the people I meet are the knots in the threads that make up the net of my life (this is good).
There are places I would never have gone to, and people that I would never have met, save for a chance meeting that happened previously between myself and someone else, and my life would have been less rich for it.

If only my words were less knotty.
